An Evening with Beethoven

The life and music of composer Ludwig van Beethoven will be the subject of a multi-media program at the Swissvale Living Spirit Ministry. Hosted by Jerry Schneider, the church’s music director, “An Evening with Beethoven” will explore the compositions and tribulations of the virtuoso pianist and composer through film, live performances, recordings and narrative.

The program will cover all three of Beethoven’s compositional periods.  Live performances will be by Schneider; Akash and Ishan Levy, who attend Taylor Allderdice High School; Kingston Cox, a student at Pittsburgh’s Liberty School; Rocco Turano, a Pittsburgh Environmental Charter School student, and David Morgan and Izariah Jones, Woodland Hills High School students.
