Art Opening at Cafe Dez Artz Sunday

Local pastor Dai Morgan has a collection of art to show at the Swissvale cafe starting this Sunday.

"Sisters," an exhibit of the works of Dai Morgan, will open this Sunday at Cafe dez Artz during an opening reception from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Morgan, holds a B.F.A. from the Art Department of Carnegie Mellon University. He is a former member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and is a former instructor of studio arts courses at the
Community College of Allegheny County and St. Vincent College in Latrobe.

He also was the artist in residence at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary from 1987 to 1990. His artwork is held in many permanent collections, including the Pennsylvania State Museum in Harrisburg, Allegheny County Airport Authority, Heinz History Center, Chautauqua Institute, New York, Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, New Castle and the Art Conservation Trust in Latrobe.

The subject of "Sisters" is women and will include many portraits, several of which are of his daughters.
