WCDC Offers Mini-Grants for Youth and Education Initiatives

Wilkinsburg-based groups and organizations that support academic and civic endeavors of youth in the borough are eligible to apply.

Wilkinsburg Community Development Corp. is seeking funding applications from Wilkinsburg-based groups and organizations that support academic and civic endeavors of youth in the borough.

A total of $3,000 is available and may be awarded in its entirety or in smaller amounts to multiple groups. Applications, which must be submitted by April 5, are available at the WCDC website, www.wilkinsburgcdc.org, or at the WCDC office.

Applications will be evaluated on the number of Wilkinsburg youth that are served. Priority will be given to projects that support low- to moderate-income individuals or census tracts, and promote improvements that can be objectively measured. Further consideration will be given for partnerships or collaborations, projects that support the mission of the WCDC, and projects with planned documentation, such as reports, photo, or potential media coverage.
