More than 30 Port Authority bus routes will be detoured on Sunday.

More than 30 Port Authority bus routes will be detoured Sunday due to the 36th Annual Richard S. Caliguri Great Race.

Detours will be in effect from the morning start of service until about 1 p.m. and will mostly affect routes within Downtown, Uptown, Oakland and Squirrel Hill.

Additionally, two temporary special bus routes, the 5K and 10K, will operate during the race to provide service between Downtown and Oakland, and Downtown and Squirrel Hill, respectively.

A brochure with more information on this service will be available at major schedule rack locations and is also posted at portauthority.org.

Riders should allow for extra time when traveling on detoured buses. Riders using the light rail system to travel to and from race locations should be advised of a major detour affecting the Red Line this weekend. Work on a grade crossing in Dormont will detour service along much of the line.
