Swissvale Library Book & Bake Sale Kicks Off Oct. 27

Get some Halloween goodies at the sale!

Fall means back to school, cooler weather, and the Book and Bake Sale, slated to begin at 4 p.m. Oct. 27 and running through Oct. 29.

This popular community tradition that raises funds for the library features a big selection of gently-used books and videos, home-made baked goods, hand-knitted items, original art, and Halloween surprises.

“Everything we sell is top-quality and bargain-priced, which is why people look forward to this event every year,” said Sharon Ramsey, president of Friends of Swissvale Library, which sponsors the event. “They also feel good about supporting a vital community asset. All of the proceeds from the sale go toward improvements at the library, and the purchase of new books and videos.”
