Storm Damage: Several Trees Down in Forest Hills

The Forest Hills Emergency Management Coordinator and Department of Public Works employees have been busy surveying storm damage throughout the borough.

A few strong storms swept through the area Tuesday night, leaving some without power and a few others with property damage. No injuries were reported.

As of Wednesday morning, 900 Duquesne Light customers in Forest Hills did not have power, according to Joey Vallarian Manager of Media and Community Relations. He said power was expected to be restored by the afternoon hours.

These photos were taken by Keith Morse, Emergency Management Coordinator. He said most of the damage was reported in the Bryn Mawr section of Forest Hills in the area of between Braddock Road and Woodside Road.

Two homes—one on Sylvan Road and the other at Greensburg Pike and Virginia—sustained minor damage.
