Patch Picks: Edgewood Fall Fest & Party for a Purpose
Here are two great events this weekend!
The leaves have officially turned and fall is in full swing. This weekend, celebrate the season with two great events!
Saturday marks the first weekend of Fall Fest, which will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Koenig Field near the corner of Greendale Avenue and Race Street. The event occurs again at the same time next weekend.
This neighborhood gathering includes everybody’s fall favorites, complete with hayrides, cider, crafts and games for kids, a movie and more. Also—cookies—don’t forget the cookies!

Also, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Shadow Lounge this Saturday , PGH Party for a Purpose is holding an event that will benefit GTECH Strategies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using innovative and resourceful strategies to transform environmental problems into social and economic opportunities.
GTECH had a major hand in the success of the near the , which was created in conjunction with the . The cost is $10 at the door. Shadow Lounge is located at 5972 Baum Blvd.

The event will have a fall carnival theme and will highlight many of GTECH’s programs . PGH Party for a Purpose hosts fun, creative and affordable parties for diverse young‐minded individuals, while raising funds and generating support for nonprofit organizations in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Founded in 2006, PGH Party for a Purpose has raised more than $30,000 for 16 nonprofit organizations, which serve the area.
