Intermittent, short-term single lane and shoulder closures will occur in several locations on I-79 and I-376 (Parkway East) on Saturday, June 23, weather permitting.
The brief lane closures and restrictions are necessary as contractor crews conduct guide rail repairs. All exits and ramps will remain open. Work will occur from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday in the following areas:
Parkway East (I-376)

- Both directions between the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) and Monroeville (Exit 80) interchanges
I-79
- Both directions between the Bridgeville (Exit 54) and Parkway West/Pittsburgh (Exit 59) interchanges, and between the Parkway North (I-279 Exit 72) and Butler County (Exit 77/78)
The prime contractor for the repairs is Penn Line Services, Inc. PennDOT advises motorists to use caution and slow down when traveling through the area.
