Together with community development corporations such as HERC and lending partners like Citizens Bank, Mon Valley Initiative has built or refurbished hundreds of homes throughout the Mon Valley, and has helped change formerly blighted areas into desirable neighborhoods.

Taught by professional mortgage loan originators as well as NeighborWorks® certified housing counselors, the class features curriculum approved by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Attendees will learn qualification guidelines for low-to-moderate income loan products that offer down payment and closing cost assistance, as well as feature low fixed interest rates.
