Memorial Day Ceremonies Honor Those Who Served

Here are some local ceremonies.

Memorial Day is observed this upcoming Monday by the nation as we remember those who have served our country, making the ultimate sacrifice.

is honoring the day with a ceremony that will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The ceremony is organized and sponsored by the Lions Club. The flag will be raised in the borough parking lot, along with introductions, recognitions and a formal ceremony.

will remember Memorial Day after its regular Sunday service around noon. In conjunction with the Boy Scout Troop 23 and the cub scouts, the ceremony will include the Pledge of Allegiance and taps in Edgewood's Memorial Park, just across the street from the church. It will be followed by a picnic lunch.
