It's Vacation Bible School Season

See which local churches are offering Vacation Bible School this year.

It's Vacation Bible School season and many churches in the Forest Hills-Regent Square area are hosting programs. Here's a look at some of them:

Christ Lutheran Church in Forest Hills (June 17 to 21 9 a.m. to noon):

The church's Vacation Bible School Go Tell it on the Mountain is for children born in 2009 through those entering the 8th grade in the fall. For information or to see if spots are available, contact the church at 412-271-7173. 

First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood (June 24 to 28, 6 to 8 p.m.):

Find about King David and other royalty of the Bible and learn how God’s love helps us stand strong!  Find out what wild adventure Chadder is on this year while you snack in the King’s Kitchen. Visit the Imagination Station and participate in the Tournament Games. Get ready for an epic adventure!

Kids ages 3 to 12 are encouraged to participate, and anyone older is welcome to help out! Those who attend can expect singing, Bible stories, snack, crafts and activities and learning more about God.

Children may be pre-registered or registered on the first night. A $10 donation is suggested to defray supply expenses.

Beulah Presbyterian Church in Churchill (July 21 to 25, 6 to 8 p.m.)

“Everywhere Fun Fair  - Where God’s World Comes Together!” is the theme this year. Attendees will be visiting Mexico, Australia, United Kingdom, Japan and Zimbabwe while learning some important Bible stories and memorable Friendship Phrases.

Living Spirit Ministry—Swissvale United Methodist Church in Swissvale (July 22 to 26, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.)

Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to Swissvale United Methodist's VBS. There is no cost to attend and lunch is provided. For more information, call 412-351-1802.

Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church in Wilkinsburg (July 22 to 26, 9 a.m. to noon)

All children ages 3 thru six grade are invited to attend. Volunteers are welcomed to join us in making this year's VBS an exciting one! Please contact Barb Thaw for further information or contact the office at 412-731-2511.
