Holiday Indoor Market Comes to Forest Hills on Saturday

Honey, goat milk soap, free-range eggs, tea, vegan products, natural dog biscuits among the many offerings at the neighborhood event in Edgewood Acres.

Looking for some interesting gifts that come from farms and gardens, not a store?

A Holiday Indoor Market, set for this Saturday, Dec. 8, at 220 Overdale Rd. in Forest Hills, will have a variety of items from about eight vendors for gift giving and holiday cooking. The market will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of Elizabeth Donohoe, who started the event three years ago.

"This is our third market, and I started doing them to provide an off-season indoor opportunity for farmers and users of farm products to sell their products," Donohoe says. "Beekeepers, tea makers, bread and sweets bakers, veggie and animal farmers ...we have them all."
