Showers and thunderstorms in the forecast may be heavy enough to cause localized flooding into this afternoon, the weather service said.
The weather service issued the alert at 10:10 a.m. Forecasters aren't calling for hazardous weather tomorrow for the time being.
Here is the forecast for Forest Hills-Regent Square:
- Wednesday Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
