Happy 90th Anniversary, Garden Club of Forest Hills

Founded in 1923, the Garden Club of Forest Hills celebrated its 90th anniversary with the community last week.

During the July 4 Forest Hills Community Day, club members met with residents and decorated their gardens with "Happy Birthday" balloons and posters.

According to its Facebook page, the Garden Club of Forest Hills is dedicated to stimulating the knowledge and love of gardening in the community; to aid in the protection of native plants, trees and birds; and to encourage civic plantings.

The club meets on the first Thursday of the month from March to December at Hope Lutheran Church, 353 Ridge Ave. at 9:30 a.m. for social time and a 10 a.m. meeting.
