Forest Hills' annual Tree Burning Ceremony is a long-standing tradition in the borough.
Friday night, smoke filled the air along Greensburg Pike near the Forest Hills/Westinghouse Lodge and the warmth from the flames brought residents together for the annual wintertime tradition.
The Forest Hills Lions and Forest Hills Civic Association served hot dogs, coffee and hot chocolate to the crowd. The borough volunteer firefighters, police and public works crews also helped make the event a success.
Paul Gamrat of Churchill captured this video of the tree burning—and contributed a number of great photographs. For a whole gallery of Gamrat's pictures from Friday's event, click here.
