Flash Flood Watch Issued for Pittsburgh

The flash flood watch is in effect until Thursday morning.

A flash flood watch has been issued for Allegheny and Washington counties through 6 a.m. Thursday, July 11.

"(Storms in the area) could produce moderate to heavy rainfall in areas that have already experienced several days of rain," according to the weather statement issued by the National Weather Service. "Additional heavy rain from scattered showers and thunderstorms could cause localized flash flooding of creeks, streams and low-lying urban locations."

The rain is predicted to move out of the area by Thursday night.
