Edgewood Community Day Held this Saturday

Bring the family for a day of fun, friends and more!

will be the center of fun, friends and games this Saturday, which marks the annual Edgewood celebration.

The events begin at noon and run until 9 p.m. at the field, where activities for children will be focused between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. with games and crafts. A magician and bingo also will be held for the younger crowd.

and the are among those with food booths, with the local cooking up barbecue favorites.

The following is a schedule for the day:

Noon—Opening Ceremony with Boy Scout Troop 23

1 p.m.—Magic Show

1 p.m.—Food booth: Edgewood VFD

2 p.m. to 4 p.m.—Balloon animals

2 p.m. to 4 p.m.—Airbrush tattoos

2 p.m.—East End Dukes

4 p.m.—Iconic George

7 p.m.—Raffle drawing by Edgewood Borough Police (must be present to win)

7:30 p.m.—Edgewood Symphony performance

9:15 p.m.—Fireworks

“The thing about Community Day is that it’s that one day where everyone comes together in the same place one day a year,” said Angel Lehrian of the . “For Edgewood to have that kind of fireworks display is really something and the symphony is amazing.”

The events are provided by Edgewood with support for children’s activities from the foundation, Lehrian said.
