Building a Better Braddock Planning for Future

By Sept. 28, TREK Development will break ground on the Braddock Overlook, a 24-apartment development on the site of the former Braddock Hospital. 

The apartments are the first component to convert the site into housing, commercial space and a public park.

Mon Valley Initiative is working with Trek Development, Rothschild Doyno Collaborative, Mistick Construction, and the Braddock Economic Development Corporation on community and workforce engagement.

The first steps in this engagement process has been to advertise opportunities available for local businesses and works to participate in the Overlook development. 

Mon Valley Initiative will hold three informational overviews Aug. 2, 16, and 30 at the Braddock Salvation Army, located at 300 Holland Avenue beginning at 9 a.m. The informational sessions are free and open to anyone 18 and older.
