Healthy Eating Happy Planet Festival is a FREE event proudly sponsored by Animal Nature! Come check out tasty food samples from local restauarants including Alma, Abay, Double Wide, and the Quiet Storm! Hope Haven Farm Sanctuary will be on site, as well as representatives from the Farm Sanctuary Walk. Informational displays will include domestic chickens, bunnies, worm composting, hydroponic gardening, nutrition, voter info, and more! A screening of the film Forks Over Knives willbe held in the school auditorium, followed by a discussion.

More About Environmental Charter School at Frick Park
The Environmental Charter School at Frick Park welcomes children from kindergarten to fourth grade to take part in an education centered and beginning with learning to love the earth and nature. The school has plans to grow by one grade each year until it reaches the eighth grade level. The curriculum focuses on respecting the natural beauty found in plants and wildlife. It is the first environmentally themed school in Allegheny County.
