Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Cara Luft will be appearing at the Map Room for a rare US performance. One of the founding members critically acclaimed Wailin’ Jennys, Cara has set off on a solo career featuring a unique folk/roots style that has been called “the perfect blend of lightness and gutsy rock chick.”
Pittsburgh’s own Mike Strasser, with a voice somewhere between Lyle Lovett and Roy Orbison, will open the evening's show. No charge; donations accepted.

More About The Map Room
The Map Room boasts possibly the largest selection of East End Brewery beer on tap in the area. The bar also has a selection of 25 single-malt scotches. It offers a variety of food, from portabella burgers to gazpacho and salads. The Map Room stays open later than its next-door neighbor, D's Six Pax & Dogs, drawing in a crowd of visitors after D's closes. This is one of the quieter, more upscale bars in Reagent Square.
