An anniversary event will be held on Sunday, May 19.
Head over to the Square Cafe this weekend to celebrate its 10th anniversary. On Sunday, May 19, the Regent Square restaurant will be hosting a day filled with music by DJ Selecta and entertainment for guests of all ages to enjoy. There will be a balloon twister, caricature artist, photo booth, and more. A new pastry studio is opening its doors in Regent Square on Friday. Vanilla Pastry Studio has relocated from East Liberty to a new space adjacent to Typhoon Lighting and across the street from Square Cafe. "Our move is coming along beautifully! We will be re-opening on Friday! The Sugar Fairies have been flying to get our new space all ready! The pink espresso machine will be installed today! The Pennsylvania Treasury's Bureau of Unclaimed Property lists local organizations and businesses with money due them—and there might be some out there for you, too.
Each year, the Pennsylvania Treasury receives millions of dollars in unclaimed property, including abandoned bank accounts, forgotten stocks, uncashed checks, certificates of deposit, life insurance policies, safe deposit box contents and recovered stolen property. Most of this unclaimed property is owed to individual residents. (Read below to find out how to search for yourself or for a relative). However, there are a number of municipalities, school districts, fire and police departments, civic groups, and other organizations that also have money waiting for them.
