A man is facing charges after crashing his car into a tree on Kerr Road in Plum.

Plum police have charged Desmond Jerral Bentley, 23, of Wilkinsburg with accidents involving damage to property, giving false identification to police, driving with a suspended license and careless driving.

According to the Plum police report, police were called to a one-vehicle accident on Sept. 29 and found a Hummer had crashed into a tree on the 100-block of Kerr Road. When police made contact with Bentley, the driver of the vehicle, he allegedly gave them a fake name and birthday.
