Worst intersection is where S Braddock Ave Parkway East ramp meets S Braddock Ave @ Allenby. If you are traveling down S Braddock towards Parkway and need to turn left on Allenby those at the Parkway off ramp DO NOT stop!! I live off of Allenby and can hear / see many accidents at this intersection.

Bevington at Ardmore, in all directions. If you're turning right onto Bevington from Ardmore, cars are often parked on the side of the street, so you have to go out around them, but it's a blind corner/hill with a two-way stop sign, and you often can't see if anything is coming. If you're turning left onto Bevington from Ardmore, the light takes a long time and I've seen people run the red. If you're turning onto Ardmore from Bevington, the light is also very long and the pressure plates are not clearly indicated, so sometimes people sit at weird spots and never activate the light. I've seen many, many people run that red light as well. Also, cars get backed up on Bevington waiting for the light to turn, and if there is a car parked on the side, traffic from Ardmore can't get around and it can back up onto Ardmore. Not safe!

Turning left from South Braddack onto Sanders in Regent Square. Sanders should be 1-way for that block from the alley to Braddock and police should enforce the no left turn for those coming from the Edgewood side. Concerns with this intersection have been raised with the RSCA, Edgewood and Swissvale before but nobody has the willpower to get it changed.

A few places come to mind...for pedestrians, the intersection at S. Braddock and Sanders St. (near McBroom's)...there REALLY needs to be a crosswalk and/or stop sign there. So many people cross this street to get to and from D's and Square Cafe. Nobody is walking down the hill to cross, or all the way up the street to Hutchinson. Not to mention, the lack of a stop sign there causes traffic jams when someone wants to turn left onto Sanders...NOBODY heading towards the parkway will stop and let someone turn and it leads to long lines there.

As a driver, if you are turning left from Forbes onto S. Braddock heading towards the parkway, it's nearly impossible most of the day. The green light there is shorter than for the opposite side, so you can't even complete your turn when the light changes. Lots of people don't realize this and get stuck in the middle of the intersection wondering why the other cars are still coming! The green light for those traveling on Forbes is WAY too short in general as well, causing long lines of traffic into the residential area near East End Ave. I live right at this intersection and the honking outside during rush hour is so out of hand.

Thank you for pointing that RSCA meeting out, Morgan. I would love to attend but have class that night. I lost count of how many times I have almost been hit by a car, trying to cross Braddock Avenue in the crosswalk (or had horns blared and obscenities yelled at me for having to stop traffic). Braddock Avenue needs more redlights or stop signs to slow people down and allow for turning, crossing the street, etc.....pretty basic concepts that are hard for people to grasp when they're going 50mph in a residential area.

Any of the crosswalks on Braddock - Sanders, Henrietta - there's a 3rd one I can't think of. They're all playing chicken for the pedestrian!

I agree that trying to turn left from Forbes onto S Braddock is painful, and also Hutchinson onto Braddock during rush hour. Pedistrians do NOT wait for the walk signal which throws everything off. I find this disturbing becasue a lot of them have babies and small children and pets. Also, many people trying to park on that block delay traffic through the lights from all directions. Huge pet peeve.

Lennox turning onto ardmore

Newport Rd turning onto Ardmore across from Forest Hills Presbyterian. It's better now that Ardmore is only 2 lanes, but the sight lines down Ardmore are bad, and often obscured by people at the bus stop. Add that to the crazy drivers doing 70mph on Ardmore in the morning rush, and it's a scary thing making a simple right turn.

Braddock Avenue near Roslyn and Westmorland Avenue. The lights have been out of sync for years causing back ups morning and night. It really backs up when Kennywood is open.
