Unlocked Cars Entered Wednesday in Edgewood Acres, Loose Change Taken

Forest Hills Police Chief warns residents to lock their doors.

Forest Hills Police Chief Chuck Williams reported Wednesday that two unlocked cars in the Edgewood Acres section of the borough were entered by unknown people.

While only loose change was taken in both instances, Williams did note that a wallet was found dropped on the street near the scene.

"They were scared away," Williams said.

The chief urged residents to remember to lock their doors and windows, especially during the summer months.
