Several Thefts from Vehicles Reported in Swissvale

The thefts occurred overnight on Tuesday.

 

Swissvale Borough Police Department reporting that several thefts from vehicles occurred overnight on Tuesday.

Police  remind all residents to lock their vehicles. All of the thefts that occurred were the result of the vehicle being left unlocked.

If you see suspicious activities, police ask that you call 911.

Mine was on Hampton. The thief that was caught breaking into my car, in Swissvale had tools to pick the locks. So the car doors may not have all been unlocked.

I'd like to leave my car unlocked and set up a camera in my house, to film the car and any possible break in. Is this legal?

You should be good to go. For whatever reason, audio recording is usually more regulated than video.
