Weather forecasters were predicting Superstorm (formerly known as ‘Hurricane’) Sandy to be the mother of all tropical storms.
While that certainly was true for the eastern half of Pennsylvania, as well as New Jersey and New York, the Pittsburgh area was relatively unscathed—albeit wet and windy.
Now that it appears the worst of the storm is over in this area, would you favor the municipalities changing trick or treat back to the original date?
Before you answer, here’s a look at the forecast for the next few days courtesy of the National Weather Service.
Wednesday: Rain. High near 46. West wind 8 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 37. West wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 47.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 35.
What do you think? Would you prefer your community revert back to the Oct. 31 trick-or-treat date? Or, now that the event has been postponed to Saturday, do you prefer it stay there?
Take our poll or leave your thoughts in the comment section below. Keep in mind the results of the poll DO NOT affect the trick or treat schedule.

I much prefer weekends. I always have to take vacation time from work so I'm home in time to handout candy. Some year, I'm just going to quit for that reason.
