Patch Pets: Meet Chief
Chief is at the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh and needs a home!
Chief is a gorgeous dog who was surrendered to the Animal Rescue League by his family because they were moving and couldn't take him along.
This 5-year-old German shepherd mix is housebroken and knows the come, paw and sit commands. Chief was good with the sibling dogs he lived with, but needs time to warm up to people because he gets frightened.
According to the shelter, he is a very smart dog with an even temperament.
For more information about Chief, contact his volunteer friend Cheryl at cpowell78@comcast.net. Chief's adoption fee is $115.

When you adopt a dog, it is a FOREVER decision. Dumping a dog because you're "moving" is unacceptable and wrong. I hope this beautiful boy finds the loving home he deserves...

I agree, we treat our pets like family and wouldn't dream of giving them up.

This so called "excuse" makes me ill -- steph is right -- adopting a pet is a FOREVER decision and commitment. I'm thankful, though, that the dog was brought to a shelter and not dumped in a park or on the side of the road. I'm praying that this beautiful fella finds a "Forever" home real soon.
