As the thaw melts the snow this week, it might seem like spring. And spring, for Woodland Hills, means musical time.
This year's Woodland Hills High School production, "Young Frankenstein" from the creators of "The Producers," will be staged April 26 and 27, and May 2 through 4. Curtain time is 8 p.m. for evening performances and 1 p.m. for Saturday matinees.
The school's website describes Mel Brooks' "monster new musical comedy" in which Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, a young neurosurgeon, inherits the Transylvanian castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein."
The audience can experience songs like "Puttin’ On The Ritz," the special effects of the Transylvania laboratory and the shtick of Igor the hunchback.
Those interested can follow the musical on Twitter at @WHHSMusical or at Woodland Hills Musical on Facebook.
