Fate of Ardmore Boulevard Office Building Up in Air Again
The 102-year-old building had no bidders at a sheriff‘s sale this week, so the mortgage holder has taken the foreclosed property.
Just last summer, Giant Eagle wanted as a site for a GetGo gas station but the supermarket chain was unable to secure enough property to make that happen after Forest Hills Presbyterian Church members voted against selling a portion of the church property needed to make that happen.
With no one interested in bidding on the building, the mortgage holder, Verona-based Engineered Products Inc., took the foreclosed property, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The Trib reports that EPI will likely sell the building, but first would have to pay about $30,000 in property taxes owed to the county, Woodland Hills School District and Forest Hills.
