Attack Theatre Offers Free Performance in Wilkinsburg

The dance-based program will take place on Sept. 30 at the Penn Avenue parklet.

Attack Theatre dancers and musicians are bringing the modern dance company’s “Some Assembly Required: Public” (SAR: Public) program to Wilkinsburg.

The free, dance-based performance will take place at 5 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 30, at the “10,000” mural located at the Penn Avenue parklet between Wood and Center Streets.

The dancers and musicians will engage community members in a creative response to the mural, and then transform that response into an interactive, public performance. In an effort to make the experience more accessible, American Sign Language interpreters also will participate.

The hour-long performance is part of a series that features public artworks throughout Pittsburgh. For more information, visit http://sar.attacktheatre.com
