14-Year-Old Stable After Stabbing in Turtle Creek

East McKeesport man charged in connection with the fight that led to stabbing.

A 14-year-old suffered a stab wound to the abdomen during a fight in the 900 block of Oak Avenue in Turtle Creek about 1:15 a.m. Friday.

Several young men were involved in the altercation, according to Lt. Andrew Schurman of the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit.

The teen was transported to a local area hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Turtle Creek police were able to detain a number of the people in the area at the time of the fight.

Detectives from the homicide unit initiated an investigation and have charged one person in connection with the fight. 

Marc Ely of East McKeesport has been charged with one count of aggravated assault. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail to await arraignment.
